Coordinated collection for Qatar's project-based IT deployments
Project-based operations in Qatar create a specific device recovery challenge. When a site office in Al Khor winds down or a Lusail phase-one team disperses, laptops need to come back from multiple locations on a fixed schedule. Informal arrangements — asking staff to bring devices to the Doha office — result in late returns, undocumented collection, and no data wipe records.
JD Tech Rentals handles end-of-rental collection as a coordinated operation. One notification from your IT or HR team, collection schedule confirmed for each Qatar location, all devices recovered within 48 working hours of the scheduled pickup. Project site offices at Al Khor, MANATEQ zones, and industrial sites outside Doha are included with confirmed lead times.
Qatar's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016, actively enforced from 2024 with penalties up to QAR 5 million) requires secure handling of personal data on devices being decommissioned. Per-SSD NIST 800-88 wipe certificates are issued for every device collected, providing the compliance documentation your IT and legal teams need. Photo confirmation emails are sent on the day of each collection.

Schedule a collectionCommon questions
We have devices in Doha and a project site in Al Khor. Can you collect from both in one operation?
Yes. Multi-location collection is structured as a single coordinated plan. Doha collections are within 48 working hours; Al Khor and other non-Doha locations are typically next-day. We confirm the schedule for each location when you notify us of the go-return date. Photo confirmation and wipe certificates cover the full fleet regardless of location.
Our project runs on a 28/28 rotation. How does device collection work for rotating staff?
For projects with rotating staff cycles, we can structure either a fixed fleet collection at phase end, or a rolling mid-contract collection arranged as each rotation cycle winds down. Mid-contract pickups are charged at actual courier cost, confirmed before collection. End-of-contract collection for the final devices is included. Raise your rotation schedule at the start of the contract and we build the collection cadence into the service terms.
What documentation do we receive for Qatar PDPPL compliance purposes?
You receive a NIST 800-88 per-SSD wipe certificate for every collected device, recording serial number, wipe method, timestamp, and pass/fail status. Combined with the photo confirmation email sent on collection day, this provides an auditable chain-of-custody record that satisfies the Qatar PDPPL's secure data handling requirements for decommissioned devices.
