In-House Repair Labs
Repairs carried out by engineers on our payroll — not sent to a third-party service centre. Internal cost, not market markup. The Fair-Play repair policy applies to every device we supply.
What the Fair-Play policy means in practice
Manufacturing defects
If a device fails due to a manufacturing fault, the repair or replacement is covered at zero cost to you. No deductible, no admin fee. The device was faulty — that is our responsibility.
Accidental damage
Covered under your Protection plan. If you have the protection add-on, accidental damage — spills, drops, cracked screens — is handled at the plan rate, not at inflated third-party market rates.
Misuse and negligence
Documented misuse is assessed individually with a transparent cost breakdown before any work proceeds. No surprise invoices. You approve the assessment before we begin.
Repair queue transparency
You are informed when a device enters the repair queue, when diagnosis is complete, and when the device is cleared or written off. No black-box service centre updates.
Why in-house matters for your SLA
When repairs go to a third-party service centre, you lose control of the queue. The service centre prioritises their own commercial relationships — not your 48-hour swap commitment. JD Tech Rentals controls the repair queue because the engineers are on our payroll.
This is what makes the 48-hour swap guarantee possible. A failed device goes to our in-house lab for diagnosis. A replacement is dispatched from in-country buffer stock immediately. The repair happens in parallel with your team being back online — not sequentially after it.
